St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands – The Virgin Islands Police Department (VIPD) is investigating a shots fired incident that took place on Queen Street in Frederiksted on July 21, 2026.
At approximately 7:08 p.m., the 911 Emergency Call Center received several phone calls reporting shots fired. Multiple notifications from the shots fired detection system also detected shots fired in the area of the Vegetable Market on Queen Street.
One caller reported that someone was injured and a that blue SUV left the area at a high rate of speed.
VIPD and Emergency Medical Services personnel responded to the scene, however, there was no findings of any victim. Additionally, Juan Luis Hospital personnel reported no one sought medical treatment as a result of this incident.
