St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands – At approximately 7:53 p.m., on June 16, 2026, a concerned citizen reported to Criminal Investigation Bureau of a possible body located in the vicinity of Profit Hills community.
The Criminal Investigation Bureau, along with the Special Operations Bureau made a check of the area and located the body of a male lying on the ground in a heavily vegetated area north of Profit Hills. It appeared that the male sustained several gunshot wounds to the upper body.
Emergency Medical Services personnel responded and confirmed that the male did not have any vital signs.
Next of kin identified the deceased as 20-year-old Amani Daley.
