St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands – On August 20, 2025, Detectives of the Criminal Investigation Bureau were assigned to investigate a child abuse case. Upon detectives’ arrival at the scene and conducting investigation, 44-year-old, Ms. Donnise Nicholas was arrested for assaulting her minor child. She faces charges of child abuse, assault second degree, and simple assault and battery. Nicholas was advised of her Miranda Rights, was booked and no bail was set as per the domestic violence law. She was transported to the John Bell Golden Grove Adult Correctional Facility where she was remanded pending her Advice of Rights Hearing.
