CIB Investigation Led to Arrest of 21-year-old Woman for Assault

St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands – On November 22, 2025, at approximately 9:54 p.m., the 911 Emergency Call Center dispatched patrol units to a reported disturbance at Estate Richmond.

Detectives of the Criminal Investigation Bureau assigned to investigate this case, found that the suspect, identified as 21-year-old Chrismel Berra, assaulted two adult females by spraying an insecticide directly in their faces. Berra also assaulted one of the females with a plastic chair, then armed herself with a knife, and made threats with the weapon before leaving the scene.

On December 2, 2025, at approximately 10:00 a.m., Chrismel Berra was present at the Criminal Investigation Bureau, where she was advised of her rights, interviewed, and placed under arrest for Assault in the Second Degree, Disturbance of the Peace by Threats and Assault Third – DV. Berra was booked, and no bail was set as per the Domestic Violence law. She was transported to the John Bell Golden Grove Adult Correctional Facility, where she was remanded pending her Advice of Rights Hearing.
