St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands – A concerned citizen reported to the 911 Emergency Call Center of a man down at a junkyard located in Estate Cottage, Christiansted on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at approximately 8:19 a.m. Fire and Emergency Medical Services were dispatched to the scene. Upon their arrival, the male was pronounced dead. Criminal Investigation Bureau detectives were present at the scene where the lifeless body of the male was observed with an injury to his head.
At this time, detectives are still conducting an investigation and are awaiting a next of kin to provide positive identification of the male.
