
St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands – Detectives of the Criminal Investigation Bureau on St. Thomas arrested 34-year-old Jeffrey Carty and charged him with assault in the third degree, mayhem, disturbance of the peace and simple assault.
On Thursday, March 6, 2025, at approximately 5:58 p.m., Jeffrey Carty Jr. was taken into custody and transported to the Richard Callwood Command’s Criminal Investigation Bureau due to an investigation where he was identified as the suspect of an assault that occurred on Friday, February 28, 2025.
The male victim reported to police that, on February 28, 2025, at approximately 5:00 a.m., he exited his residence and walked to the street where his vehicle was parked. The victim continued to state that while at his vehicle, the suspect who he identified as Jeffrey Carty Jr., walked up to him, brandishing a dark gun and began to gun butt him in the face leaving a deep laceration that required sutures and after assaulting him he placed the gun in the victim’s mouth.
