
St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands – On Friday, February 28, 2025, at approximately 10:48 p.m., the ShotSpotter application reported multiple gunshots fired in the Frederiksted Town area. Officers responded to the scene and recovered several spent shell casings.
Members of the Criminal Investigations Bureau later identified Ervin Noel Jr., Donnie Heywood, and Lijsabbattical Henry as the suspects in this incident. On Tuesday, May 6, 2025, a Magistrate Judge of the Superior Court of the Virgin Islands (St. Croix District) issued arrest warrants for Heywood, Noel, and Henry.
On Wednesday, October 8, 2025, 19-year-old Lijsabbattical Henry was detained without incident by a member of the Virgin Islands Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Bureau at a service station in the Frederiksted area. He faces charges of Reckless Endangerment First degree, Carrying of firearms, openly or concealed: during the commission of a crime of violence, Possession or sale of ammunition. His bail was set at $100,000.00 as stated in the arrest warrant. He was unable to post bail and was transported to the John A. Bell Adult Correctional Facility, where he is awaiting an Advice of Rights.
Heywood and Noel were previously apprehended and are currently detained at the John A. Bell Adult Correctional Facility pending trial.
