CIB Arrest Suspect in 2023 Robbery at King’s Alley Business

St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands – On August 27, 2023, at around 3:32 p.m. the 911 Emergency Call Center received a call regarding an armed robbery at a store in King’s Alley.

The Criminal Investigation Bureau was called to investigate the incident. It was discovered that an individual wearing a face mask and hat entered the store, pointed a firearm at the cashier and placed a plastic bag on the counter, demanding that she give him all the money in the register. The cashier gave him $300.00, and he exited the store and ran westward. Surveillance footage from the surrounding businesses was collected and investigation revealed that Abdulah Hassan was a possible suspect.

After further investigation, an arrest warrant for Abdulah Hassan was signed by a Superior Court Judge on September 15, 2025. On September 26, 2025, 27-year-old Abdulah Hassan was taken into custody and transported to the Wilbur Francis Command Police Station, where he was arrested and charged with Robbery First, along with Using a Dangerous Weapon in a Crime of Violence, Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, and Unauthorized Possession of Ammunition. His bail was set at $75,000.00. He was booked and remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his Advice of Rights Hearing on September 29, 2025.
