Arrest Made in Attempted Murder Case

MICHAEL BOYCE

Christiansted, St. Croix – On Saturday, October 4, 2025, at approximately 4:42 p.m., the 911
Emergency Call Center received a report from the Juan F. Luis Hospital Emergency Room regarding
an assault victim who had arrived at that location. Responding officers contacted the victim, an
adult female, who was found to have sustained serious head injuries consistent with being struck
by a blunt object.

The investigation was assigned to the Criminal Investigation Bureau. Preliminary findings revealed
that the victim was seated in her vehicle on Company Street in Christiansted, speaking with
several individuals, when the suspect, Michael Boyce, approached and engaged her in an
argument. During the altercation, Boyce allegedly struck the victim multiple times in the head and
body with a hammer. The victim fell to the ground, at which point Boyce continued his assault
until an acquaintance intervened and pulled him away.

An arrest warrant for Michael Boyce was issued by a Superior Court Judge on October 17, 2025,
and he was apprehended later that same afternoon. Boyce was transported to the Wilbur Francis
Command Police Station, where he declined to provide a statement. He was arrested and charged
with Attempted Murder.

Boyce was booked and unable to post bail. He was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections
pending his Advice of Rights Hearing scheduled for October 20, 2025.
