Armed Robbery Reported at Cardow Jewelers on Main Street Under Investigation

St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands – On Thursday, June 18, 2026, at about 1:16 p.m., officers and detectives were dispatched to Cardow Jewelers on Main Street regarding a robbery. VIPD officers made contact with employees at the business who stated that several masked individuals entered the business wearing black clothing, pointed weapons at them and broke into the showcase.

Officers were informed that after the suspects ransacked the store, they fled the scene on motorbikes in an unknown direction.

Little is known about the suspects in this matter, but they are to be considered armed and dangerous. The Virgin Islands Police Department assures the public that all tips will be kept confidential, allowing contributors to remain anonymous if they choose.
