61-year-old Man Arrested for Damaging Property at St. Thomas Gas Station

 St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands – On Friday, December 5, 2025, at about 9:21 a.m., Officers were dispatched to the area of First Stop Gas Station located in Frydenhoj regarding a male trying to break a glass of the cashier’s window.

Responding officers met with the complainants who stated that Mr. George Penn came to the cashier’s window placed money down, however, the cashier did not understand what Penn wanted and subsequently attempted to give him the money back. She stated that Penn got extremely angry and began yelling; picked up a rock and began banging on the business’ window and glass door causing damage. The complainant then stated that Penn also threatened her and blocked the cashier’s window preventing anyone else from buying gas.

George Penn, 61, who was also present on the scene was placed under citizen’s arrest, transported to the Richard Callwood Command where he was advised of his Constitutional Rights, processed, and booked. He was charged with Destruction of Property & Disturbance of the Peace with bail set at $500.00. He was bailed out on the same date and advised to be present for his Advice of Rights hearing.
