St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands – On Monday, January 5, 2026, at approximately 2:25 a.m., Patrol Officers were dispatched by the VITEMA 911 Emergency Call Center to Lorraine Village in reference to a Disturbance of the Peace Domestic Violence in progress.
The victim reported that Malachi Thompson came to her apartment drunk and when she opened the door, he barged into her apartment and assaulted her with his hands causing bruises to her head; and shortly thereafter she called 911. Upon the officer’s arrival at the scene, the suspect exited the apartment and was placed under arrest. The victim sustained visible injuries, which were observed on her head.
Malachi Thompson, 21, was arrested and no bail was set until seen by a judge as per the DV law. He was subsequently booked and transported to the John A. Bell Adult Correctional Facility, pending his advice of rights hearing scheduled for Tuesday, January 6, 2025, at the Kingshill Superior Court.
