

St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands – On Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at approximately 3:40 p.m., a concerned citizen contacted 911 Emergency Call Center to report gunshots fired in the Hospital Ground area.
Virgin Islands Police Department (VIPD) officers responded to the area and discovered an unresponsive male who appeared to have sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his body. Emergency Medical Technicians responded to the scene and determined that the male had no vital signs. The victim was identified by his next of kin as 23-year-old Asani Henry.
As part of the ongoing investigation into the June 16, 2026, homicide, the VIPD obtained an arrest warrant and requested the assistance of the United States Marshals Service (USMS) in locating and apprehending a suspect.
On Monday, September 28, 2026, members of the USMS located and arrested 23-year-old Jah’Sheem Graham in Orlando, Florida. On Saturday, October 10, 2026, extradited back to St. Thomas in connection to an Arrest Warrant and placed under arrest pending his Advice of Rights hearing.
Additionally, on Friday, October 2, 2026, the Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB), St. Croix District served 21-year-old Kaden Durand with an arrest warrant in connection with this matter. He was placed under arrest pending hisAdvice of Rights.
Both Durand and Graham’s bail was set at $1,000,000.00.
Durand and Graham were charged with First Degree Murder, First Degree Robbery, First Degree Assault, Possession of Firearm During a Crime of Violence, Unlicensed Firearm within 1,000 ft. of Public, Housing/School, Youth Center, Possession of Ammunition, Brandishing Deadly Weapon, Petit Larceny, First Degree Reckless Endangerment and Conspiracy.
