St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands – On Friday, July 3, 2026, at approximately 12:39 p.m., patrol officers were dispatched to the Estate Nazareth regarding a minor who had been assaulted.
Upon the officer’s arrival, they made contact with a family member of the minor victim, who reported that Akeem Forbes had physically assaulted the 9-year-old minor. The minor victim was reportedly struck multiple times to the face, resulting in injuries.
On Wednesday, July 8, 2026, Forbes, 37, was retrieved from the Bureau of Corrections, where he was being detained on another matter. He was then rearrested for Simple Assault and Child Abuse. He was booked, processed and returned to the Bureau of Corrections pending his Advice of Rights Hearing scheduled for Thursday, July 9, 2026, at 0900 Hrs.
