VIPD Investigates Residential Burglary in Bovoni

St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands — The Criminal Investigation Bureau on St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, is investigating a Burglary in the First Degree that took place near the Purple Shop in Bovoni on Friday, June 5, 2026, at about 6:09 a.m. According to the victim, he was leaving his residence when multiple masked individuals with firearms forcibly entered his residence causing injury and taking money and jewelry before fleeing the area on foot.

The police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any information regarding the suspects to come forward. Individuals with information can report it by calling the 911 Emergency Call Center or contacting Detective M. Hodge-Donovan of the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 340-774-2211. Tips can be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers V.I. at 1-800-222-8477(TIPS). The Virgin Islands Police Department assures the public that all tips will be kept confidential, allowing contributors to remain anonymous if they choose.
