St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands – On Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at approximately 12:38 a.m., Virgin Islands Police Department (VIPD) units were dispatched to the area of Haabets Gade, in the vicinity of Simmonds Alley, regarding a reported gunshot victim.
A male victim was transported via ambulance to Schneider Regional Medical Center (SRMC) after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving efforts, the victim succumbed to his injuries.
The victim has been identified by next of kin as 66-year-old Aubrey L. Frett.
