
St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands – On December 13, 2025, at around 4:00 a.m., the 911 Emergency Call Center received ShotSpotter notifications of shots being fired in Peters Rest, Christiansted in the vicinity of Carlos Bar. Officers arriving on the scene found multiple spent cartridges on the roadway.
A Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB) Detective’s investigation revealed that Turrel Thomas was the shooter in the incident.
On April 17, 2026, members of the CIB with the assistance of Special Operations Bureau, and Intel Units executed arrest and search warrants for Turrel Thomas. During the search, a firearm was seized. Thomas was taken into custody.
Turrel Thomas, 33 was booked and unable to post his $100,000.00 bail. He faces charges of Attempted Murder and Possession of Firearm. He was transported to the John Bell Correctional Facility pending his Advice of Hearing.
