Detectives Investigate Robbery in Mandela Circle

St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands – Officers and detectives made contact with a male victim who stated that he was robbed at gun point in the area of Mandela Circle, at about 2:36 a.m., on Sunday, February 8, 2026. The victim stated that he left a night club in the area, and while walking to his vehicle, three armed masked males exited a vehicle in the area and approached him, demanding that he gives them his items.

The victim described that the suspects were fully dressed in all black clothing and they removed several pieces of jewelry from his person before fleeing the area in an unknown direction.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any information regarding the suspects can report it by calling the 911 Emergency Call Center or the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 340-774-2211. To provide information anonymously, tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers V.I. at 1-800-222-8477(TIPS).

The Virgin Islands Police Department assures the public that all tips will be kept confidential, allowing contributors to remain anonymous if they choose.
