Gunshot Victim Found in Simmonds Alley

St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands – On Sunday, January 25, 2026, at about 10:08 p.m. the Virgin Islands Police Department (VIPD) Patrol Division and Criminal Investigation Bureau were dispatched to Simmonds Alley, St. Thomas following reports of a gunshot victim. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim suffering from a single gunshot wound to the face.

Emergency medical services transported the victim to Schneider Regional Medical Center, where he was evaluated and received treatment for his injuries. The VIPD is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident.

The VIPD urges anyone who has any information regarding this incident, please contact the police immediately by calling 911, the Police Chief’s office, or the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 340-774-2211, extensions 5577 and 5578.  Anonymous tips can also be submitted by calling Crime Stoppers VI at 1-800-222-8477(TIPS). We assure the community that all tips will remain confidential.
