St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands –The Virgin Islands Police Department is actively investigating
a report of an aggravated rape involving a minor.
On Saturday, December 13, 2025, at approximately 5:00 p.m., detectives and officers of the
Virgin Islands Police Department were dispatched to the Roy Lester Schneider Hospital after
receiving a report of a sexual assault. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the minor
female victim and her mother.
Preliminary information indicates that the incident occurred between approximately 11:00
p.m. on Friday, December 12, 2025, and 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2025, inside
the victim’s residence. The victim reported that the suspect used physical force during the
incident. The suspect was described as an adult male known to the victim’s family.
Medical personnel were notified, and the victim was advised of available support services and
resources.
This investigation is being handled by the Virgin Islands Police Department’s Domestic
Violence Unit and remains ongoing. Due to the sensitive nature of this case and to protect the
privacy of the victim, no additional details will be released at this time.
