St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands – On Sunday, November 16, 2025, at approximately 1:06 a.m.,
the 911 Emergency Call Center received a report from a female caller stating that she had
been punched in the face by another female. Patrol officers were immediately dispatched to
En Canto Bar in response to the complaint.
Upon arrival, officers contacted a witness who stated that the suspect, Ms. Santa Cabral, had
been standing outside the establishment when she threw a rock at the door, causing the glass
to shatter.
While officers were still on scene, 911 Emergency Services dispatched them to an additional
assault in progress at Classico Bar, located on Gamble Gade, in close proximity to En Canto
Bar. Officers responded on foot and made contact with a second victim. The victim reported
that the same suspect entered the bar, spat in her face, punched her, and repeatedly
slammed the business door.
Officers conducted a foot search of the surrounding Savan area and successfully located the
suspect. Ms. Cabral appeared to be intoxicated and was transported to the Schneider
Regional Medical Center for treatment of her injuries, including a laceration to the head.
Following medical clearance, Ms. Cabral was advised of her Constitutional Rights and placed
under arrest for the following offenses: Destruction of Property, Assault and Battery in the
2nd Degree, Simple Assault and Battery, and Disturbance of the Peace.
Bail was set at $51,500.00 in accordance with the Virgin Islands Code. Ms. Cabral was unable
to post bail and was subsequently turned over to the Bureau of Corrections, where she
remains pending her Advised of Rights hearing.
