St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands – On Saturday, September 27, 2025, members of the Virgin Islands Police Department Special Response Team (SRT), with the assistance of the VIPD Special Operations Bureau, the VIPD Traffic Bureau, VIPD Domestic Violence Unit and agents from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), executed a search warrant at the residence of Deandre Sylvester following information received regarding the illegal sale of narcotics at the location.
During the search, several firearms, quantities of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and an undetermined amount of cash were seized from the residence. Deandre Sylvester, age 26, was arrested, booked, processed, and remanded to the Bureau of Corrections after failing to post bond which was set at $50,000.00. He was charged with Illegal Possession of Unlicensed Firearms along with Illegal Possession of Ammunition, Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
