St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands — On Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at about 3:48p.m., the 911 Emergency Call Center was notified of a possible body wrapped in garbage bags that was discovered in the area of Fortuna.
Upon the Virgin Islands Police Department officer’s arrival, they conducted an inspection in the surrounding area and observed a bag containing human remains.
Emergency Medical Technicians on scene concluded that the individual did not have any vital signs. The identity and gender of this individual is currently unknown pending an autopsy.
