St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands – On April 1, 2025, at approximately 11:23 a.m., the 911 Emergency Call Center received a call from a concern citizen of a foul odor coming from an abandoned residence located on Fisher Street in Christiansted town. Upon officers’ arrival at the location, they found the body of a female in an advanced stage of decomposition. The cause of death is unknown at this time pending autopsy.
This case is still under investigation by the Major Crime Unit pending DNA testing to positively identify the body and notification to next of kin.
