St. Thomas, USVI - On Saturday, July 22, 2023, at approximately 12:41 p.m., a citizen called 911 and reported that they received a call that someone was shot at a residence in Estate Thomas, St. Thomas U.S.V.I.

The citizen, along with VIPD Patrol officers traveled to the residence and discovered an unresponsive male lying on the ground. The male appeared to have sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his body.

Richard Liverpool

Emergency Medical Technicians, who were on scene, concluded that the male did not have any vital signs. The male’s next of kin identified him as 48-year-old Steave Liverpool.

While on scene, Law Enforcement received information that the victim’s brother, Richard Liverpool shot and killed him. Richard Liverpool, age 47 was placed under arrest and charged with Murder in the First Degree, Assault in the First Degree, Assault in the Third Degree, Unauthorized Use of a Firearm During a Crime of Violence. His bail was set at $1,000,000.00.
