Wanted for Cyber Harassment and Contempt of Court, 30-year-old Man Turned Himself In

St. Croix, USVI - On February 6, 2023, the Economic Crimes Unit initiated an investigation into a cyber-stalking and cyber-harassment complaint. The investigation revealed that Raheem Wyre maliciously harassed the victim, by consistently contacting her place of employment at Silver Airways, even after a Civil Protection Order was filed against him with the Superior Court. Wyre continued to threaten the victim’s life verbally, and through multiple fake pages.

As a result, an arrest warrant was issued for Raheem Wyre on June 2, 2023.

An All Points Bulletin was placed on Raheem Wyre after several attempts were made to locate him, with negative results.

On June 25, 2023, at approximately 9:29 p.m., Raheem Wyre, age 30, surrendered himself at the Wilbur H. Francis Command Police Station, where he was placed under arrest and advised of his Miranda Rights, which he refused to sign and invoked his Fifth Amendment Rights. Wyre was subsequently, booked and charged with Harassment by Telephone, Telegraph or Written Communication, Cyber-Stalking and Cyber-Harassment, and Contempt of Court.

Unable to post bail in the amount of $1,000.00, Raheem Wyre was remanded to the John A. Bell Adult Correctional Facility pending his Advice of Right’s Hearing.
