Man Identified on Surveillance Video During Burglary was Arrested

St. Thomas, USVI - On Monday, June 5, 2023, at approximately 7:00 p.m., the Criminal Investigation Bureau arrested Mr. John D. Turnick, a caucasian male known as “John”, who was identified on surveillance video. Mr. Turnick gave a video confession to this crime along with other crimes.

Mr. John D. Turnick, 54-years-old, was arrested for burglarizing a construction site located at Estate Thomas and removing over $1,000.00 worth of items without the owner’s permission. Turnick was charged with Burglary in the Third Degree, Grand Larceny and Petit Larceny and his bail was $47,000.00.

This case is presently under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Bureau.
