St. Thomas, USVI - On Saturday, April 29, 2023, while the 2023 Carnival Festivities were in full swing, citizens contacted 911 to report multiple shots fired in the area of Norre Gade, St. Thomas, USVI, in the vicinity of the Frederick Lutheran Church.

Responding officers traveled to the area of Norre Gade, and upon their arrival, contact was made with a black male who appeared to have suffered at least one gunshot wound and was unresponsive.

Emergency Medical Technicians also arrived at the scene and checked the male for vital signs. At approximately 8:52p.m. EMTs concluded that the male did not have any signs of life.

The male was identified by next of kin as 54-year-old Alrick M. Thomas.
