Police Arrest Two Fugitives From Justice at King Airport

ST. THOMAS, USVI – On January 23, two fugitives from justice were arrested at the Cyril E. King Airport. At 3:30 p.m., police arrested 24-year-old Michael I. Montanez, Jr. of Deltona, Florida. At 4 p.m., police arrested Tony C. Kimble, Jr., age 25 of Meridian, Mississippi. Both men were charged with being Fugitives From Justice in separate, unrelated matters.

Michael I. Montanez, Jr.

Customs and Border Protection agents detained Montanez after it was discovered that he was wanted in the Florida for an Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon charge. Bail for Montanez was set at $20,000. Unable to post bail, he was turned over to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections, pending his Extradition hearing.

Tony C. Kimble, Jr.

Agents at King Airport held Kimble at after learning that he was wanted in Mississippi on a Failure to Appear warrant from a Possession with Intent to Distribute charge. He was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections without bail, pending his Extradition hearing.
