ST. CROIX, USVI – On January 4, at 11:15 a.m., police arrested Edward H. Russell, age 77 of Christiansted, charging him with 2nd Degree Assault, Domestic Violence; Simple Assault & Battery, Kidnapping, and False Imprisonment.

Russell is accused of assaulting a female family member during a disagreement in downtown Christiansted earlier that day, causing visible injuries.

Russell was jailed without bail, as per the territory’s domestic violence laws, pending his Advice of Rights hearing.
